This stunning vintage Taznakht rug I found on my last Moroccan trip in the seaside village of Essaouria.

These Taznakht rugs are ancient tribal rugs, made by the artisans in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco for their households and as wall decorations.

This particular rug dates from 1975, the year I was born, so I knew with her vibrant colours, the magical saffron hue, the touch of coral and all of that inky, beautiful black, she just had to come home with me.
